THE FIGURE IN AMERICAN ART: TENTH ANNUAL EXHIBITION
Eleanor Ettinger Gallery
January 11 - February 11, 2007

Ten years ago, the Eleanor Ettinger Gallery held its inaugural The Figure in American Art exhibition. Over the last decade, it has come to represent one of the most anticipated events of our yearly calendar. This annual exhibition perhaps most closely expresses the aesthetic and dedication of the gallery...to present the finest in classically-inspired, contemporary figurative art.

Leading off this year's offering is a quartet of the gallery's very established and highly recognized artists including Steve Huston, Gregory Calibey, Richard Piloco and Glenn Harrington. We are welcoming back Gabriela Gonzalez Dellosso and Michael De Brito, both of whom have garnered numerous awards over the last year. We are proud to include, for the first time, Carolyn Pyfrom whose classical technique and poetic sensitivity distinguish her as a new talent to watch.

Curated for its depth and diversity, the collection for this tenth anniversary celebration is a tribute to our contemporary realist painters for both their dedication to tradition and the forward vision with which they imbue their work.
